Tasos Villas - (Accommodation in Kalamaki)

An excellent place for a holiday, very friendly owners who provided some basic essentials on arrival (milk, bread, oj, 6 ltrs water, honey). Rooms were spacious and airy you could hear the see lapping against the shore. So close to the beach but if you have vet small children it can be a walk to some of the restaurants and bars.

Our favourite bar and bar people! A very warm welcome awaits anyone visiting this bar with a very friendly and personal service. If you have kids there is now a very large play area. Thanks to Spiro and Niki for you hospitality and friendship.

Value for money - you can't get better. Just make sure you have an appetite! Great tasting food from a varied menu set in a lovely area. Staff are very friendly and look after you well. Can sometimes be a bit too busy and you need to sit in a prominent location or you could be forgotten. Recommend the Baked Tortellini with a Greek Salad.

Lambros (old) - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

As with most places a very large menu but this is a typically greek setting with no rush and fantastic food. Yes the 'flaming' Kleftika is a must along with the ery tender beef stifado. Excellent value for money although the vegetables do tend to be tinned.

To answer the two questions below; If you have a two year old I would definitely take a buggy. Mermaids is a good 15 minute walk with Chaos, Al Sandros etc being 20 -25 mins depending how much you drunk!! The nearest accommodation to the Villas is; Denny's Inn, Hotel Venus, Hotel Exotica there are some private Villas close by but these seem to be rented by greeks.
