Found this a very crowded restaurant, and one to avoid if you don't like sitting very close to tables full of smokers. We drew a short straw and were subjected to smoke constantly drifting across our table from heavy smokers at the next table and this ruined the meal. The food was average - not really authentic - just nothing special and there are much better places to get a real Greek meal in Kalamaki. We are regular visitors to Kalamaki and will certainly not be going back to Mermaids.

This is my sixth visit to Zakynthos and once again Mikaelos comes out top for the best restaurant. Dennis and his team are always welcoming and the food is top class. Fully recommended to everyone. Many thanks Dennis - look forward to seeing you again soon.
