Zakfari Jeep Safari - (Zante Excursions)

Jackie H  (11 July 2001)

Word of warning here...we have just got back and I thought I would do you all a favour and tell you to make sure you have booked this Safari, not a poor imitation. We (seven of us) booked a Jeep Safari though our Olympic rep and told her we wanted Zakfari, after reading about this site. We paid her loads of dosh (122,00 Drachma or about £250.00) and even checked with her three days later to make sure this was the safari we were on. She guaranteed us it was. How wrong she was.... an orange minibus thing picked us up, and we had to wait for another one to meet us for about 30 mins. Four stops, including one at the driver's bosses pub, in something likened to a sardine tin with NO air conditioning was not pleasant. We acually saw the Zakfari jeeps, and everyone looked like they were having a ball. We wanted to hijjack the jeeps. Basically, we set off at 10.30 and were back in our apartments by 5.30. Our rep did'nt bat an eyelid when we told her, but I just thought I'd mention it as Olympic are supposed to be one of the companies that you can book through. We will be going back next year and will book direct though this site before going.

Robin Hood (old) - (Restaurants in Laganas)

Staff were not friendly, and the food was quite expensive for what you got. Had a full English there after reading this site and can only say, if you want good old English food, you can't beat Paul's at Last. Its opposite the Victoria Hotel at the top end of the street. Best value meals we had. Great service by Nigel, and the home made crumble is to die for.

What can I say....this is the best place to eat in Laganas. Great home cooked food, brilliant service and apple crumble to die for. Only thing wrong is we were too full up to go on the P... afterwards!
