My friend and i ate at Poseiden on numerous occasions and were happy with the service. The waiters and waitressess were very friendly and helpful and the food was really nice. We would definately recommend

I would like to recommend the restaurant Poseidon, the food and service were excellent! There was an extensive menu to cater for all food tastes and my friend and I had a fantastic time trying out the Greek cuisine and drinking lots of the ever flowing Greek wine- we even ate there again, it was that good! x x x

If you're going to Argassi this is an excellent place to eat. The food is fantasic and the service is wonderful with some of the most friendly staff you could ever hope to meet all for a very reasonable price.

maybe i just know good food when i see it, and that is certainly not what is served at poseidon.if you had ever been in a decent restaurant you would realise how bad this place really is.

What a great place - we ate here 4 nights out of 7 and if I was there for another week, I'd eat here 7 nights out of 7!!!

here just returned from a weeks holiday and found poseidon to be one of the best restaurants we ate in over there we went back twice as we liked it there so much the service is excellent there the food was absolutley amazing would definantly recommend this restaurant to any visiting argassi

Have just got back from Zante and went to eat at Poseidon on Sunday night. We first ordered starters which took ages to come and was absolutely digusting. Then came the main course which was not what I ordered in the first place and again tasted disgusting. When I told the waitress she just have me a dirty look and walked off. We then left the restaurant with just paying for the drinks and on the way out the guy on the door even tried to sell the restaurant to us again by telling us to come back in and try it again! I would not go to this restaurant if someone paid me. There are lots of other great restaurants to go to in Argassi so I'd give this one a miss!

went  back this week. all four of us ordered similar meals to last time, not much improvement. man at the door remembered us from our last visit, especially my husband which was nice. the food still not brilliant though.

  this was the best restaurant i ate at in argassi and i tried a different one every night for a fortnight. the staff were very nice and helpfull and the food was delicious especially the stuffed mushrooms, yum! the guy on the door is not annoying, he was extremly polite to us everynight as i walked past, and couldnt do more for us when we went in there. ignore the bad reviews, this is the best restaurant in argassi.

I was surprised to read the negative comments on here. We had beautiful steaks here and the service was fantastic. The american guy on the door is quite annoying but the staff inside the restaurant were all great. Would definately go back here again.

The food is and has always been really good at Restaurant Posidon! It is good to see that there actually are restaurants in Zante which can cook somthing else than the crappy English "Fish and Chips", or "Burgers with fries" for that matter...
Thank you for the lovley food and the excellent service. The roof garden has the greatest of views!

I must also disagree with some other patrons who have written here, about the PR at the door. He is a really good man, unlike other PR people in Zante, who tend to be too fordward and can actually be quite pesty. The PR at Restaurant Posidon respects the patrons of the restaurant.

we ate here twice in a large group of 12-14, we were treadted very well both times, cant understand the bad reviews as the food was the best we had all fortnight, and we tried somewhere different every night. ignore the crap reviews we are fussy and were not dissapointed, wish the idiots who were using this as a chat room would grow up as its damaging the ratings of a brilliant restaurant.

am not only person not to enjoy meal. have you read other comments. back in argassi on friday. maybe try again

mike russo, if you believe all that george best rubbish you will believe anything! the man will say anything to get you through the door.

rude american man on door told us the wine was on him, but we still got charged for it. quite nasty when we mentioned it to him. waiters lovely though.

annoying man on the door said it was the best food in zante and we fell for it. went up the broken stairs to the roof garden for our meal, was met by some miserable waiters, had to wait a while before we could order even though it wasnt that busy.food arrived ive eaten better frozen ready meals for less than quarter of the price, horrible! horrible!horrible! done even bother with this place. me and my boyfriend are not overly fussy eaters but can recognise a crap meal when weve tasted it, yuk!

Friendly staff, food was ok but lacked something special.

Offer of 10% off the meal was a bit too much to resist at the cash-strapped end of the week.  Still, was well worth it, especially seeing my mate attempt to beat this Greek Chicken.  Took it to the 10th round, but it won out in the end, lol.     The Chicken Brazil was very nice, and the staff were friendly.  Used to like Afrodite as a roof garden, but I think this one beats it.  Just.  8/10

I'm afraid we succumbed to the hassle of the door guy after a while and went in. Just the once though, as the food was nothing better than we'd has elsewhere and it really wasn't worth the hassle. When the PR guy hassled us the next night and we said we'd been in before he was honestly astounded that we weren't rushing to go back - probably not realising it was him that was the deterrent!!!

Food was OK but the service was really slow. We waited 20 minutes for our bill - the restaurant wasn't even half-full!!

Also the hassle from the PR guy on the door never stopped - even once we had eaten there!

coustous was very hot, apart from that the service was very poor and the food was ok. worth going just to see the fit waiter. hee hee.

We didn't like this restaurant in the slightest. The hassle to go in was annoying and constant over the two weeks we were there, we only ate there once and that was enough.
The food was greasy and that's all that can be said. We found the menu limited and what we thought we're going to be traditional greek meals were slung together slop. Stuffed peppers, with cheese and oil, yuck! Once tried never again.

Well it was Ok, food was alright and we sat upstairs on the roof terrace so that was nice.
I did hear reports that people had gone there and had all differnt prices on each of their menus. I thought it was maybe more expensive than some places though. And the Welsh guy outside was a bit of a dun that been there knob.

The food and srvice was ok but I think the size of the portions were too small.I left hungry and bought a gyros which has more meat in it than mt stifado.Boost the portions Poseidon and you will be a good place to eat

What are you people talking about!? We loved it here! From the warm welcome at the door from Kevin-very charming Welsh man, to the beautiful roof garden restaurant, not to mention the delightfully stunning waiting staff (Nikos and Nikos!) once more sexier than the other - not saying which ! The sweet waitress with the sparkling smile (my Dad loved you !) What a fantastic team! the food was excellent, especially the lamb kleftiko! Keep us the good work .. we'll be back next year! Do not waste your time in this restaurant. The quality of the food is low, and you'll get a half filled plate. Even when you had 3 courses you'll walk out hungry.

awful meal, lamb chops and chips served with warm drinks and a miserable attitude. We went in solely as Airtours had put us up in Argassi after the plane wouldn`t work(!) for a night, and what is it with Argassi that every bar and restaurant pesters you to go in? The waiter even shooed us off his step after the meal. Garbage.

Great fish platter here for 12 euros, was good overall and enjoyed our mel here. Came to 20 euros. Worth a visit

went here for our last meal of the holiday.the bloke outside was very friendly & polite,pity about the staff and cleanliness inside.was given 15% discount as the bloke had been begging us to go in for two weeks we soon found out why.

Only ate out of the Poseidon once. The food was ok and Costel the waiter was really nice and friendly.

This aws by far the best place to eat.The service was superb and the price was very good.

Not great food, service a bit slow, and not very neat and tidy. Not worth a visit.

We had a little rain while we were eating our meal upstairs on the rooftop terrace, but where helped to get under cover downstairs mid main course. I wanted a dessert that was on the menu but unpriced so the waiter was not available. On hearing this the greeter said he would go and get some so he ran down the road and returned 2 minutes later with my chosen dessert. That's customer service!

dont go there unless you like cold food and tough meat i would not recomend this to anybody

dont do it if yo u want cold food tough meat then this is the place for you if not give it a wide berth

Food was superb. NO CHIPS...Hooray Service was alright but not brilliant. Choice was good and you could choose anything for the children from the menu at half price. (this was the best we experienced). The food was served in portions that filled everyone and the price was the best we had for what we got.

Food : Excellent Service : Good Price : Good We loved this roof top restaurant. Excellent Vegetarian selection and very reasonably priced. The only thing that let it down was the unfriendly service.

The food was good but we were not impressed with the house wine, we prefered the Afrodite opposite. The only thing wrong with this restuarant was that they played the radio and the music was crap compared to most places that played Greek music.

I am shocked that nobody has commented yet on this restaurant, me and my partner loved it. There was a great choice on the menu, also I highly recommend the steak diane, it was to die for. This restaurant is slightly more expensive but it is understandable when you taste the food. The service could be better but if you fancy treating yourself to a nice big steak and don't mind paying slightly more then this is a great place to eat.
