Labros is one amazing guy.  This was our second time in Kalamaki and he instantly recognised us and remembered our regular drinks.  Most afternoons we would enjoy a crepe and a mythos or four, but the best thing was he adored our daughter Cara and they would both watch cartoons on his 'small' tv ( Cara sat on his knee with bowl of icecream) whilst we ate our crepes in peace.

Labros cant take all the praise as Christina and Angelo were equally wonderful people, both spending time to play with our daughter ( Christina even spoiled her by buying her a birthday pressi which she sleeps with every night)

The music was always brilliant, even Paul was a nice change with his one man band show !

Nothing was too much bother for any of them and Labros was responsible for many a hangover !

He made our holiday (again!), we are now in touch with him and Cara sends lots of pictures !

Labros  -  You're the best !

Anna S  (20 October 2006)

Robin H  (12 October 2006)

Labros, Angelo, and Katerina run a great bar. The music is great and will suit all tastes. The cocktails are fabulous and not too pricey either.

I made a point of popping in here for a Mythos and a chat whenever I could.

Lesley S  (03 October 2006)

Popped in for a swift one on the way "home" one night. Great music, and the Strawberry Colada was gorgeous, couldn't manage more than a couple though, would have to go back on the Mythos!!!! Will go again next year

Lawrence M  (13 July 2006)

Hi Labros,

I know you dont have a computer but plenty of people tell you about the nice comments on this web site, and again I just want to say that we had the most amazing time with you again this year. For all the people going to Kalamaki this year and have not yet been to P&P, you really must try it, the cocktails are amazing and the Crepes are to die for.  Labros is such a lovely man, and if you go please ask for a Submarine that (Lawrence and Sally) got. he will know what you mean.

See you next year Labros and keep up the good work, love to you, Angelo and Christina.

Yammas!!!!

Anne S  (21 June 2006)

I try to go at least twice a year as i love it.I now book it myself and save so much.I can now get a week for us both for no more than £500 in total so its great.Have tried a few places but the garden Village is my favourite.I now go with mates from london and we cant fly out on the same day with First choice so have to stay other places now.Staying at Cronulla which looks great.

Sandra L  (21 June 2006)

Oh I promise the basic hello, how are you please, thank you, yes no & sorry are easy to grasp and you'll find yourself saying them all the time  I just had trouble getting any further than that!

I actually have always worked in admin and offices, went on hol to Kalamaki last year to visit friends and stayed.  It was a great experience and I loved the Island but it's easy to get wrapped up in I suppose and to lose touch with the reality of stuff.  But I don't regret it at all!!  I have the dream of escaping in many years to a warm friendly place like Kalamaki and owning a bar!  I love chatting away to people too so am in my element in that environment.  Back working in admin for now (the money is quite a bit better than bar work in the uk (unfortunately!).

At least if you decide to do it one day in the future you have a trade, everyone needs their hair cut & if you go somewhere where there are a lot of UK workers you'd be ok...I'm just hoping for a miracle, or a lottery win

Anne S  (21 June 2006)

Will try.Even if i can order a bit and say hello to Labros and Angelos and that it is nice to see them again.Ru working somewhere new now.I would love in afew years to go and work inKalamaki  but i have a little boy who is nearly 13 and have my own hairdressers so it wont be till he joins the army or i go brokeI worked in bars a few years ago and loved it coz im a chatterbox and enjoy the laughs.

Sandra L  (20 June 2006)

How jealous am I Anne!

It's def worth trying to learn some Greek, granted it's not the easiest language to learn but you'll get sooo much further if you try.  I only had some very basic words/phrases but any locals I met really appreciated it when I tried (and more than often failed :)

I miss my lattes in the sun and alcoholic cappucinos  at P&P's

Maybe next year hey!

Hazel J  (19 June 2006)

hello anne, i love this bar, they are so nice in there, and zante is gorgeous i love it, im going to menorca 2 weeks on saturday for 2 weeks, im looking forward to the break from work but i will miss zante sooo much, its a family holiday and as we have been to zante for the past 4 years on trot we decided to go somewhere else in july, thats why im not going to znte until sept.

Anne S  (15 June 2006)

Hi Hazel. We have also become good friends of Labros after my friends who know him quite well told us to go  to see him last Sept.May was great fun and we are all going back in Sept too from 17th for 1 week so if your there at the same time might see you at P&P.I was telling Labros about this site and about your nice comments and he was pleased people were saying nice things. Not sure if he sees this or not coz he said he didnt have the internet as we all told him we could email him.Its a shame that a new pavement is on the other side of the road as he hasnt been so busy as people now walk on the other side so if anyone is reading thisGO TO PASTRIES AND PERCS AS ITS GREAT.NICE FRIENDLY PLACE WITH GREAT SERVICEREAD MY OTHER REVIEWS.

What can i say, Fantastic place to go during the day or sit a relax with a few cocktails in the evening and watch the sun go down.

Loboro is great ant makes the best Tom Collins cocktails ever.  Will see you in June this year for the third year in a row.

Don't forget, the crepes, sweet or savory, they are brilliant. A must to visit, on the main street just down from the Down Under bar.

Anne S  (06 October 2005)

We had many a few trips to here as it was so nice night or day.Labros is so friendly and everything he does is an art.His salty crepes were magic and the free shots were a blast. Will be back to see him in May.Great place for all ages.

Ritchie J  (28 August 2005)

Peter K  (26 July 2005)

Hi to Lambros,Christina and aghios hope i spelt them properly.A  great place to sit and chill out and have a drink without all the loud music and kareoke .Liked the shots a real friendly atmosphere .

Rebecca B  (01 July 2005)

Excellent place to drink.
We enjoyed many cocktails and free shooters.
Waffles and crepes are gorgeous

Paul M  (24 June 2005)

This has got to be the bar with the best service in all of Kalamaki.  The guys who work here, Labros the owner and his brother Alexsis (correct me if I'm wrong) would do anything for you, we were in late one night when it was quite cold and Labros gave my mate his jacket because he had forgotten his

The bar is a nice place to sit at night, the drinks and cocktails are excellent and the free shooters they give you are something else (sometimes more than one per drink you order).  The shooters are never the usual cheap local crap, they are mini cocktails and once you have tried a few they ask you what you would prefer.  These guys even try to play the kind of music you would like.

The crepes are a really nice afternoon snack or light lunch and to follow these with one of the excellent pastries really makes a great lunch, the trick here is to try and get out before you've drank too much that you're there for the night.

Jackie R  (07 June 2004)

The service at this bar is brill, it is a great place to chill out.
Go there and enjoy!!

Syd H  (20 May 2004)

Hi Labros!!
This place is a must the crepes and the apple pie are to die for.
Labros is a great bloke and Alexis is a sweetie!!
See you in Sept for a mini Guiness Labros
Luv
Shane & Syd
xx

Carolyn W (05 September 2003)

When i came to Kalamaki i had a cocktail called "Bubblegum" the strawberry one... i was wondering if someone could please tell me whats in it because i can't remember. Thanx

Colin S  (29 March 2003)

Friendly, relaxing atmosphere, staff easy going and very helpful and not pushy. Two very friendly and entertaining cats, especially the one called "Newcastle". Off-licence best for choice and price!

Sharon E  (03 December 2002)

loved the cocktails and coffees here, pastries are gorgeous(couldn't have too many)owners are friendly and the off licence is the cheapest with great offers.

Nigel J  (20 June 2002)

This is a great place to relax and watch the world go by whilst enjoying a coffee or something stronger accompanied by excellent pastries or savoury croissants. The staff are very friendly and it appears to be one of the "coolest" places to hang out in Kalamaki. Particularly as it appeals to locals. Has a widescreen television but is not obtrusive. It is located half way along the main drag. Go there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
