Filou Cocktail Bar

We went to Laganas in summer 2000 and discovered Filou completely by accident one afternoon whilst looking for somewhere for a game of table tennis. Filou had cheep beer, fabulous surroundings & the best hosts in the world in  Linda & Savvas and of course free table tennis lol! Anyway from then we started and finished every night out in Filou and it became the best memory of that holiday. In fact I'd go so far as to say that of all the Mediterranean bars I've frequented over the years Filou has to be the pick of the bunch. Totally different, totally unique and totally brilliant. I'm not big on going back to somewhere I've been before (too many new places to see, you understand) but one day I'll go back to Zante and wander into Filou and I sincerely hope it won't have changed even a single little bit...

Linda & Savvas are the making of a perfect holiday in Laganas {situated just off the Kalimaki road } in beautiful gardens & such
a friendly atmosphere you will find there! I have been going there for many years & hope I am able to visit Filou Bar for many more!

Brilliant 'Chill Out' place - no banging music. no crapioke - wonderful relaxing colour-changing fountain - comfortable chairs -

Savvas and Linda are perfect hosts, they really make you feel welcome we have been there for two years now and hope to go back next year. if you meet savvas and linda please can you tell them thanks for looking after the air beds for us but if they do not have the room they can bin them..Also please can you ask linda to e-mail me as i have yet again lost her email add. many thanx

Savvas & Linda are two of the nicest people we have met in Lagana. The bar and surrounding gardens are ideal for all ages. This is our 10th year in Lagana and all of our best times hae been at the Filou. John & Irene McWilliams.

No doubt best bar & gardens with magic water fountain. A more friendly place would be very hard to find anywhere in LaganasAll drinks Savvas the owner serves are all top brands no trash here. Great atmosphere allways. I have used this place for many years & will be back again this september

we have been going there for approx 10 years. Love everything about it and Zante altogether. Anyone going this year remember us yo Savvas & Linda Be warned Dont go early September ther is always some cockney bloke inthere who keeps buying you drinks Derek and Sheila

This place was really good the staff are really friendly and the gardens are fantastic. It was very quite, a great place to chill out.

This is a very nice family place to go for a drink. The place is always very quiet and the gardens are superb. I would certainly reccomend this place to people of all ages.

This place was absolutely brilliant to start of a lethal night, or finish off an already deadly one! I can promise you it finished me off a couple of nights and I am supposed to be a heavy-drinking student! I'd definitely recommend the 'Orleans' cocktail - with seven shots and a dash of coca-cola, you will definitely be in for a good night!

Filou, we had some laughs there because my nan called the sweedish waitress a Nanna after Nanna Misquwiey (the greek singer who wore thick black glasses). The waitress sad she was from sweden and my nan said switzerland is a great place, sex on the beach.

Off the beaten track this is a lovely place to spend a few hours with friends. The cocktail menu has everything of everyone and will do a lovely Kids Cocktail.

Low key place. Barman and waitress very friendly. Nice gardens with fountain & lights, music channel tv. Good range of cocktails & beers at good prices. Nice place to cool down off the main strip.

The Filou Bar is well worth a visit. It is situated down a quiet lane off the Kalamaki Road opposite Hotlips. Savvas, the owner and Linda, the Swedish waitress will make you very welcome. They have a massive range of lethal coctails and have an happy hour from 7 - 11pm everynight (700 dr). If you've been in there most of the night, Savvas will not let you leave until you have had one of his 'special' shots on the house. If you fancy learning another language, forget Greek and ask Linda to teach you a few Swedish phrases (its much easier). Hej Linda, Hur Mar du? Jag mar bra Roger

Quiet. Not for the party animal. Savvas, the owner, is a nice chap. The drinks are brand names, not the crap served in some of the "cocktail" bars. Nice gardens and fountain etc. Down a track about 200m along the Kalamaki road.
