If you like spicy food, try the Birki meze chicken.  Fantastic but burns your lips off.  Dennis on the door is a really nice bloke.  He also works at the Alykanas beach hotel.  15 hours work a day and he still has a smile on his face.  Had 3 meals here and all were really nice.

A really great to place to eat and enjoy. Good food, the menu was very good and not one bad meal. Try the Collicia house wine, excellent especially if you enjoy red. In fact it was all very good and the staff were brilliant.

Hey 2 everyone at Poseidon!! i dont no WHY?  this restaurant only has 3/10 because this year this restaurant was my FAVOURITE!!!  we have been going 2 alykanas for many many years now and been put off the restaurant by other people and to me it looks scruffy!(dont judge a book by its cover!) as my mum is working for them this year we ate there and couldnt believe it!! the portions are very BIG so anyone with a little stomach beware!! you get whatever you ordered! e.g chicken fillet, then you get chips,potatoes,rice,veg and pitta if its soulvaki!! my mum and sister also enjoy the stuffed tomato & pepper!! and prices are good!!

The waiters are sooo friendly, the dont pester you for more drinks or dessert! Andreas become my best friend over the 5 weeks i was there! and wanted me to stay and said i could clean his house!!-haha yeah whatever!! he was great (like a Dad) and his little girl is adorable!! Cant wait to see you guys again in the winter or next year!! Miss you! keep the good food going!!

Definately worth a visit if not more while your there!!!

10/10 and im not just saying that cos my mum works 4 them!!

This restaurant has one of the best chefs on the island - the food was fantastic and reasonably priced. So... the staff...we had a great time here and made some good friends. Everyone of the staff are hard working and provide excellent service, always with a smile. Be warned that this Taverna is very popular in that around 8ish is manic in there - try and eat as the Greeks do - a little later. A big hello to Miri, Aris, Anna, Rosa, the chef, and last but not least Andreas who sat with us and shared many smiles and laughter. Andreas, thank you for Michael's tatoo - he loved it, you are a generous man. Unfortunately his skin has reacted very badly. We hope to return next year and perhaps see some familiar faces.

Have to say this place was a nice surprise after reading certain comments.  Both the food and service were better than we had expected, the staff were especially nice and friendly.  The specials on the menu were quite appetising and we enjoyed our meal in a very relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Prices were quite reasonable compared to other restaurants. Will definitely be back!

By far the worst retaurant we visited. Food was awful.  The lamb Kleftico was very fatty and there was hardly any meat anyway and the swordfish was dry and tasteless.  Service was very slow and the staff seemed to want to get rid of us as they had a private party coming in later.  Wouldn't go again

Tried a few other  restaurants and on the fourth night of my holiday I went to the Poseidon.  I was very impressed with the food, the hospitatlity and the friendly atmosphere.  Needless to say, I became a regular customer for the remainder of my holiday.  The food was to die for and the staff always made me feel very welcome and we had many a good laugh.  Would definitely go back next time I am in Alykanas.  Don't miss it!
