Toms Place

My mum and I both suffered horrific food poisoning here after eating a chicken dish. We flew out the next morning so didn't have time to complain but the food poisoning was so severe that we felt the effects for over six months after, the flight home was the worst experience of my life. Even now a few years later both our stomachs are very sensitive due to this.

Toms is a fantastic place to go if you fancy a bit of home cuisine the size of the dinner is very good for value and tom is always welcome to have a chat here a picture of a a dinner the hand is for scale

We have been to Toms Place a couple of times in recent years with our family, and we have been looked after very well. service was good and food was excellent. No moans about waiting times here. If you want it faster use a microwave!

We were staying in Amoudi, so we only went to Tom's Place once.

Having walked down from Amoudi, through Alykanas, we were starving and very thirsty.  We both had a full English breakfast, which is served with juice, toast and a big mug of coffee.

Then the main meal came . . . WOW!  MASSIVE plate full of excellently cooked food (and we didn't even have to choose between beans and tomatoes - you get both!).

You may think that it seems a bit more expensive for the breakfast here, at 5.50 euros but for what you get, and the quality of it, it's definitely worth it.

THE BEST BREAKFAST ON THE ISLAND (and better than most you get in cafes back in England too).

Toms Place is certainly the best place we found in Zante. Trevor, Tom and family are really lovely and made us feel so welcome we ate there most evenings. The food is fantastic and the Sunday lunch was better than most back home. Fantastic fish and chips also, and a very good price! The food is fresh and home made, we even had a tour of the kitchen and can confirm that it is spotless. We were sad to say goodbye at the end of our two weeks and definitely intend to go back and visit. Thank you for making our holiday so lovely and congratulations to Greece for winning Euro 2004, we were supporting you in the final.

Everything was excellent, Try the home made steak pie! Tom and his family are really friendly and welcomed all 10 of us, the breakfast and sunday dinners are to die for!

if you want english food def try toms place. once u try it ull be hooked. it was the friendliest place by far fantastic food and very good prices. home made steak pie is heaven oh n best bacon butty on the island. try it ull like it

A group of eight of us holidayed in Zante and we went to Tom's Place every morning for breakfast. Tom, his family and Trev were all very friendly, the food was always excellent and the prices very reasonable. Sunday dinner was also excellent and the home made pies were to die for. Thanks to you all and hope to see you all again soon. x

We visited Toms several times over our 2 weeks holiday in May, food was brill, service was sometimes slow but there was 10 of us. I will be ther again this August.

We had pretty much the same problem as last year with the wait time after ordering. The girl took the order and said it would be 1/2 hour, which is no problem but we waited 1 HOUR to receive our 4 meals. Tom, if you are reading this, please employ someone extra in the kitchen as we will not be back in a hurry.

Tom's Place does not exist anymore, its now the 'original pie shack'.

The OPS has moved from by the river, its old premises are still called the Pie Shack.

Confused!!

Been to Zante 6 time its a lovely island the food at TOMS is excellent all freshly cooked and a good price. Its family run so the service is fun its always fun to eat there its out of the way just out side of ALYKANAS.Try the mixed grill it houge.

Good value meals served by a very friendly family. The homemade soup is delicious.

Fans of Cyril's cooking from Lofos and Diogenes will get the usual high standards here. Recommend the fried squid. For those partial to a tipple, ask Cyril for his raisin brandy. Excellent stuff, and cures most things - other than hangovers - and tastes fantastic!

It's also got great English food provided by Cyril and Jan, formerly at the Oasis, the Lofos and Diogenes!

Tom's place is situated of the Alikes/Alykanas Rd and yopu have a great view of the mountains, it has great greek food and a really friendly welcome.
