Its a long way down!! Definatley worth visiting, at least once. Not sure I would be that bothered if we did not go go back there in 2009 as there is little to do and once you have photos of the shipwreck you have photos.

it was may 2004 il always remember it we got on a day cruise and i couldnt beleve my eyes as we got up close to the ship wreck mind your feet though as the small white pebbles do hurt your feet and they are bouling hot and you feel like your sinking abit when you go in the lushest blue clear water you can see and feel the little fish around your feet its amazing if you think zante is hot when you go to he ship wreck i sweare the heat doubles its so hot so if you want a brill tan thats the place to be, dont forget to look up and seee the plank way up in the mountains what a sight not somewhere i would want to be stood hurd some bad things about that and i defentley wouldnt trust my life on it but the views must of been amazing zante the best holiday iv ever been on xx

Navagio (Shipwreck Bay). Lovely view from the viewpoint though a bit scary standing on thin metal sticking out of the cliff! The colour of the turquoise sea was lovely. The beach looks a beautiful sandy white beach but apparently it is pebbles! Unfortunately we couldn't take the boat to the beach or the Blue Caves as the weather was too choppy. But if you want to do this we had been advised to not take the all day trip especially the one advertised by the rep but instead take a half day trip from Skinari for example.

This being our 5th visit to Zakynthos we thought it about time to see what all the fuss was about!!!! There was a fairly long queue to get on the platform, but once there the views from the platform are stunning .But "shipwreck", nah, "bit of rust on the beach" was my husbands comment The surrounding area is gorgeous, so it is worth a trip to see it if you're in the area. Just make sure you're not there as they disembark two coach loads of people!!!!

beautiful does this no justice and check out the beach itself, a bit sore on the feet but amazing, water as clear as a swimming pool.  Just got back to England and wanna just get my snorkel kit and go straight back

The whole beach looks better on the platform than when you get down there! As the platform view doesnt show that the beach is actually pebbles. Stunning scene from the platform.

we hired a car for 5 days and loved cruising around the island, the shipwreck was the best place we visited. The water was really blue and the shipwreck looked amazing from the platform, we also chose to walk futher along the cliff top to get some better pictures 10/10 brilliant.

We hired a car for 3 days and this is one of the places we stopped.  The views are AMAZING. We also went on a boat trip to the Blue Caves and the Ship Wreck. We thoroughly enjoyed this trip. We found it was much cheaper to go direct to the trip operators rather than book through your travel reps.

Viewed the ship wreck from above, via the road. We hired a bike for a few days to see a bit more of the Island. If you hire a bike or car get a map from the car rental firm . To get to the ship wreck you have to go through VOLIMES - nice little village with pottery and lace making - and head out for about  two or three miles in the direction of ZAKYNTHOS . Once there you can appreciate the view better from above than going on the tours to the shipwreck beach. Went on the boat/ ferry trip to the beach but it isn't half as good as seeing it from above as you don't get all the view in!!! The ferry trip is very crowded, hot and with lots of people being sick as the sea was a little choppy the day we went. Plus you don't get very long when you're there. The GOLDEN DOLPHIN TOUR  from ALYKES (NEXT TO THE ASTORIA HOTEL) can highly recommend. Pay 30 Euros to do the Blue Caves & Ship wreck or 15 Euros just for the caves ( just did the blue caves though)  Transported in a speedboat that holds around ten people. Arrives at the blue caves much quicker than the ferries , plus you can accutally get to go right inside the caves in the boat, whereeas the larger boats are too big for this. The other really good thing is that the speedboat anchours near the caves and allows a twenty minute stop for a swim in the sea. Highly enjoyable, well worth the money and lasts for around 2 hours which is perfect for just seeing the caves close up and swimming in the torquiose water

We didnt go to the viewing platform but went to the actual beach on a small boat from Alykes beach. They sell trips right at the beachfront in Alykes and the boat only holds around 16 people. The day we went there were only 12 in all so it was nice and quiet and not too squashed. The bloke even gave us a discount so we paid 40 Euros for 2 people to go to the shipwreck and also to see the Blue caves. Soz, cant remember the regular price. Anyway, as you approach the beach, the water turns this amazing turquoise colour, it was wicked! I have never seen anything like it, we jumped off the boat into the surf and got to spend half an hour swimming and sunbathing. There isnt any sand but very small white pebbles so take good shoes! Wow, I would definately recommend going, it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been!
