Decided to spend our 10th anniversary with Nikos and family and we're glad we did, as usual the reception was warm and inviting and the accomidation was fab.

Greek night was fantastic and would recommend (you'll need your dancing feet on) and the food was fantastic and cooked by the family themselves, Christos knows his way around a BBQ!
Would recommend the Merakis restaurant (two mins by taxi or 10 secs if Christos drives!) food is great but be warned you will need your appetite as even the starters are HUGE!
Thanks, once again to Nikos, Christos, Ella, Costas and not fogetting the georgeous Katarina. xxxx

Best holiday apartments ever!

Best hosts ever!

Best club sandwiches ever!

We can't recommend the "Dream" enough, it's perfection you have to go there to know what we're talking about but sshh it's our secret. The welcome couldn't be warmer (and we know as this was our second time out there) and Nickos was as perfect as ever. The whole family are brilliant, ask anyone who's there (because you will go) and they will tell you the same and then ask them how many times they have been there, you'll get the same response from each and every guest "We came here first....and we just had to come back!"
Could only rate it as a 10 as there is no 11!

click to enlargeclick to enlargeclick to enlargeHave spent another fabulous 2 weeks at the Oniro in September. There is just something special about this place and family that is nigh on impossible to describe unless you have been there.
If you want a quiet, family-friendly holiday away from the hustle and bustle of the main resort (which is still easily accessible by bus or taxi)  then pay a visit - bet you go again, as will we! And Ella, I will not let Stewart bring any tricks!!
Love to All

click to enlargeWe have just got back from yet another terrific 2 weeks at the Dream Studios.....  And what a Dream it was for us. Christos, Ella, Nickos, Costas and Anastasia met us with the warmest of welcomes (as ever)
They even let us get married at the studios.  Not everyone gets their wedding blessed by the Greek Gods but we did... we had an earthquake!!
The day and the rest of our stay was made extra special by this extra special family.
If you are looking for somewhere to unwind, forget your troubles and stresses of work, then look no further.  The studios are cleaned daily very spacious and have fantasctic views of the poolside, the beautiful village of Tragaki up in the hills or the island of Kefalonia.
We sat on our balcony watching the boats going by and actually saw a pod of dolphins on one occassion.
It is away from the hustle and bustle of Tsilivi yet if you want a night out it is only 7 Euros in a taxi.
Personally we preferred to eat at one of the 6 Tavernas within ten minutes strolling distance. There is the Taverna to the right of the Oniro ran by a lovely old couple who dont speak a word of English so oredering can be fun. Also there are the 3 down by the sea front to the left of the Oniro.  You can while away a good evening listening to the waves lapping the shore and watching the sun set over Kefalonia and other parts of Greece.
So once again a huge THANK YOU to our friends at the Oniro and we will be back asap.  Love to all Chris and Terry xx

We had a fantastic 2 weeks at the Oniro! This was our first holiday when entertaining kids was no longer a priority (grown up, not abandoned!) and the peaceful, quiet and friendly atmosphere created by the wonderful family - Christos( No. 1 Chef!), Ella, Nikos, Costas and Anastasia - who own and run the studios was right up our street! A superb apartment with beautiful views, a lovely pool and wonderful walks down to the beach and restaurants made this one of the best holidays we have ever had.
We met some great people and had many enjoyable nights in the bar - we didn't feel the need to go elsewhere - but, if a livelier night is your cup of tea, then 7 Euros takes you into Tsillivi.
We would recommend the Oniro to anyone who enjoys a quieter holiday as it really was perfect. Never before have we booked to go to the same place twice but I have this time - roll on Sep 11th 2008!
Hello to everyone we met - and Ian where's my photos???

Second time we have been to Oniro's, and I can not speak highly enough of the place, nice and quiet friendly and relaxing atmosphere.  When we went (July 07) there we a lot of Greek tourist's staying which say's a lot about the place itself.  Nikos and Costa's were very helpful, although Costas is a bit on the shy side.  The room's have air con and are very clean and tidy, the food is nice and the beer is cheap. Just a nice place to visit...................

We spent a fabulous two weeks at the Oniro Studios.  We weren't sure what to expect as it was a last minute holiday but we couldn't have been happier when the taxi dropped us off.  We were greeted by Nikos and shown to our rooms which were absolutely immaculate.  Nikos and the entire family were superb hosts so there is absolutely no need for a pushy holiday rep.  The apartments are just the right size and have a very friendly atmosphere so much so that we happily spent most nights in the bar.  The hustle and bustle of Tsilivi is only a 7 euro taxi journey away and to be honest I think we would have found staying in the resort a bit too hectic.  All in all a perfect holiday, we'll return so Costas get the wine ready

This year was our 5th visit to Oniro. It's the best!!Christos,Ella ,Costas, Nickos, and Anastasia are the most friendliest and helpful family you could wish to meet . They are like family to us now .

The appartments are clean and have everything you need including air con at no extra charge and this year they had all been refurbished. The pool is great, extremly clean and there are plenty of sunbeds to relax on.There is a pool side bar which is well stocked and if you are not sure what to have Costas will always 'conjure' up one of his cocktails for you. Breakfast and lunches are also avalible here.
There is a supermarket across the road, Tavernas near by and the beach is a five min walk away.
Once a week there is a Greek night with great food and all the meat cooked by Christos on the BBQ.
Together with greek dancers and a great perfomance from Costas it's a really fun night!!.
This year we took our family, our daughter and her boyfriend enjoyed themselves so much that they
are returning at the end of September.
We know people who, like us return to Oniro year after year so I think that says it all!!
Lots of love to everyone xx

we have just spent an amazing two weeks at the oniro studios, and with out a doubt will be returning in the future. The studios are run by Chritos, Ella, Nikos, Anastasia and Costas who make you feel like part of the family and can't do enough for you.

The rooms are very clean and very spacious and we stayed in room 111, the veiw from our back balcony looked out on to the sea, Kefilonia and the mainland, breathtaking.
This is the best holiday we have been on and that is down to the friendly atmosphere of the oniro, from the family to all the guests that stay there.
Overall this is a great place and we can't wait to get back and see Nikos, Costas and all the family, for anyone reading this reveiw i strongly recommend u consider going to the oniro.

I would recommend anyone to go and stay at the Oniro Studios. you will not be dissapointed.

Lovely rooms, lovely surroundings, great pool! but the best thing has got to be the wonderful family! Christos, Ella, Nickos, Costas and Anastasia. They make the holiday and cant do enough for you.
You can choose to relax by the pool or get a 5mins cab into town. So you have everything you need
We stayed at the Oniro for 1 week in June 2007 and did not want to leave! We have already booked to go back in a few weeks..cant wait!
looking forward to seeing the family again, we miss you!

This has to have been the best holiday myself and my partner have been on.  I was a bit nervous about the apartments after reading that they were actually in tragaki/Amboula and not tsilivi, however, I was very pleased with the accomodation.

They were cleaned daily with fresh bedding and towels.  The family were very friendly and got on very well with Nikos (Te Kanis Nikos!!).  The apartments were very quiet and just what we were looking for.  Wait for it there is a however!!  If your taking kids you need to take something for them to do in the evening if you're staying in, as there is not a lot for them to do in the evening - especially when they're 13 going on 30.
I really enjoyed my time at "the dream" and would recommend this to anyone visiting the area.
Oh by the way - you have got to got to the Amboula Restaurant, it's got the best scenary in the evening overlooking Kefalonia and the food is excellent ( try the Mussels in wine sauce for starts)

Flights = 200
Accomidation = 248
Warmest Welcome in Greece = Priceless!
I cannot even begin to tell you how wonderful the holiday has been, the family (Hey Nikos!!) have been great and make you feel instantly welcome. The guests that were there when we were, have all said the same thing "they come year after year because the welcome that they recieve and how the family make you feel". I really can't say anthing better than that. I can only highly recommend this place and tell you that we will be going back in September and we're booking for next July also.
Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we and everyone else has done in the past.

I am 18 and came to the oniro with my family this year. I had the best time!! It was absolutely gorgeous, just lazing by the pool and having a few drinks with the family (who are amazing) was great. Being partial to the odd night out, I went out both in Tsilivi and Laganas with friends I met while staying at the Oniro. On both occasions I had no problem getting to and from the apartments and had a great nite.

The Oniro studios suits everybody no matter what you are looking to get from a holiday. The family make yous stay as easy and pleasant as possible, and the studios location means you can keep it quiet or, for a cheap taxi ride, make it a wild one!
Thanks Nikos and the family for everything!!! I'll be back before you know it!!!

Just back from another great holiday at the Oniro.
My partner and I went last year and had such a great time we decided to take our two kids with us this year. They are 18 and 16 and had an absolute ball. They just can't wait to get back next year!
The Oniro is on the outskirts of Tsilivi...7 Euro taxi ride...and this is just perfect. It means that you can have the peaceful surroundings of the Oniro or  the hustle and bustle of Tsilivi when...and choose. This was perfect for our teenagers. They had a night ay the beach party in Tsilivi and went over to Laganas for a night. They had a fab time both nights. The rest of the week they chose to stay around the apartments, enjoying the friendly atmosphere and banter provided by the family and friends.
The apartments have been further improved over the winter and are great. They are very clean and the family couldn't be more helpful. There is a selection of restaurants close to the aprtments. We ate in most of them and were never disappointed. The Greek night is a really fun night and Ella lays on a great spread.
All in all we had a great time and I highly recommend the Oniro apartments. I am missing everyone already and can't wait to see everyone again.
Love to all at the Oniro. Thanks to Kostas for all his chat and to Nicos for letting me borrow a different name for a while (Sonia)! Thanks for another great holiday!

We took a risk and with a sceptical wife and 2 young daughters we hired a car and did not book any accommodation in advance of our arrival.

We spent day 1 looking at all sorts of accommodation all over the island and knew when we pulled into Oniro that this was the perfect location.
-peaceful but 5 mins walk from a selection of Tavernas and beaches
-only 5mins drive from Tsilivi (which is by far the nicest all round resort) walkable too.
-recently and superbly refurbished
-very nice pool / bar area
-very welcoming family although they were very suprised I had arrived without a booking !
-perfect base for all island sights and touring
This is where we stayed for 1 week and could not fault
-spotlessly clean
-freindly and family run, our girls were treated like their own
-family eager to be flexible and do anything to help (they speedily went out and bought a brand new cot for our daughter as they already had 2 in use)
-excellent Greek night, home cooking and entertainment
Good for all ages
Don't rely on most website write-ups they can be misleading.
any further advice on this then please feel free to ask

we stayed at oniro studios in july after it being recommended by my son who has been for the last 4 years. it was a family holiday and we all really enjoyed every minute of it! there were 6 of us all with different ideas of what a holiday should be and yet we were each delighted with the oniro & zante. this was only possible because of the lovely family who own it. they made us feel like family and nothing was too much trouble.
the rooms are extremely clean and spacious and the view from the middle block is beautiful!
there are lots of restaurants near by and in the town centre if you want to go further afield.
thank you for a lovely time and greek night was fantastic espcially the beautiful food, which is prepared by the family.
cant wait to return next year for another fantastic holiday.
thanks again and see you all soon.xxxx
